Behavioral Health Therapy explores how thoughts, behaviors, and emotions impact well-being.

Our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are closely connected.

What we think can influence our emotions, which in turn affect our actions. People have different emotional response patterns—some take longer to recover from intense emotions, some react quickly with strong feelings, and others may react intensely to situations that seem minor to most. Therapy helps by increasing awareness of your emotions, including the thoughts that trigger specific emotional responses, and by addressing unhelpful behaviors tied to those emotions. Through a specialized emotional-behavioral analysis technique, we can explore the underlying emotional issues that may be hindering you from living the life you want.

At Crafting Balance, LLC we address issues at the root. To promote your healing, in session our therapist will integrate the following:

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Narrative Therapy (NT) — helps us to change negative thoughts and behaviors that impact mood, teaching coping strategies and problem-solving skills. Narrative Therapy helps individuals reframe their personal stories, challenge negative beliefs, and focus on strengths, improving mood and self-compassion. Combined, they promote a more positive outlook and stable mood.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) — teaches skills for distress tolerance, mindfulness, emotional regulation and enhances self-acceptance and overall self-esteem.

Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) — MBSR uses mindfulness to reduce stress and improve mood, while ACT helps you accept thoughts and align with your values. Combined, they boost self-awareness, emotional health and anger management.

Interpersonal Therapy (IPT) and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) — improve mood by addressing relationship issues and conflicts. IPT focuses on enhancing your social interactions, while EFT strengthens emotional connections. Both help you develop better interpersonal skills and foster healthier relationships, which boosts overall emotional well-being.

Spirituality and Integrative Therapies —Spirituality and integrative therapies include practices like meditation and prayer to boost emotional well-being. Holistic approaches such as yoga and art therapy also help improve mood and mental health.

Medication Management — Psychiatrist referrals available upon request.

We provide strategies for emotional regulation, stress management, and coping with difficult situations.
